For a young person in Delhi aged 18 to 25 who has completed Class 12 and is looking for a structured, paid, and legal pathway into Europe, Ausbildung is the most accessible option available in 2026. It does not require a university degree. It does not require a wealthy background. It does not require paying a recruitment agent a lakh in fees. It requires German language proficiency at B1 or B2, a signed training contract from a German employer, and the right application support.
| Eligibility Criterion | Requirement | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Age | 18–25 years | 18–20 preferred for most employer partnerships |
| Education | Class 12 pass | Science background preferred; non-science considered for hospitality/logistics |
| German language | B2 required by departure | A1–B2 training included in the programme fee |
| Health | Medically fit | Medical fitness certificate required for visa application |
| Character | Clean police record | Police character certificate required for German visa |
| Nationality | Indian | Programme specifically for Indian candidates from Delhi/NCR and across India |
The total programme fee for the JSJ × Destination Germany Ausbildung Programme is ₹2,50,000 plus GST. This fee covers the entire journey from German language training in Delhi to departure for Germany. It is paid in three instalments, with each instalment tied to a specific milestone in the programme.
| Instalment | Amount | When Paid | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Instalment 1 | ₹83,333 + GST | At enrolment | German language training (A1–B2), orientation, profile building |
| Instalment 2 | ₹83,333 + GST | On receipt of Conditional Offer Letter | Employer matching, documentation support, visa guidance initiation |
| Instalment 3 | ₹83,334 + GST | On visa grant confirmation | Pre-departure orientation, final documentation, travel coordination |
German and Austrian employers pay the employer-side recruitment fee directly. Jet Set Jobs does not charge a placement commission on top of the programme fee. The programme fee is a service fee for end-to-end support — not a recruitment agent commission. This is an important distinction when comparing Ausbildung programmes across providers.
Ausbildung trainees in Germany are paid employees from their first working day. The monthly stipend is set by collective bargaining agreements in each sector and increases slightly each year of training. Figures below are approximate 2026 rates.
| Sector | Year 1 Stipend | Year 2 Stipend | Year 3 Stipend |
|---|---|---|---|
| Healthcare (Pflegefachmann/frau) | €1,100–€1,200 | €1,150–€1,250 | €1,250–€1,350 |
| Elder Care (Altenpfleger/in) | €1,000–€1,100 | €1,050–€1,150 | €1,100–€1,200 |
| Hospitality | €900–€1,000 | €950–€1,050 | €1,000–€1,100 |
| Logistics | €900–€1,000 | €950–€1,050 | €1,000–€1,100 |
| IT / Tech | €1,000–€1,200 | €1,050–€1,250 | €1,100–€1,300 |
In addition to the stipend, Ausbildung trainees receive employer-contributed health insurance, contributions to the German statutory pension fund, and statutory annual leave of 24 to 30 days per year. Many employers also provide or subsidise accommodation during the training period.
Upon successfully completing the Ausbildung programme and passing the final examination (Abschlussprüfung), the trainee receives a state-recognised German vocational qualification (Berufsausbildungsabschluss). This qualification is recognised across all EU member states.
The Ausbildung visa holder can then apply for a Niederlassungserlaubnis (permanent settlement permit) after a minimum of two years of skilled employment following Ausbildung completion. German citizenship is accessible after five years of legal residence under standard conditions. For Indian candidates who complete Ausbildung in their early 20s, this creates a structured pathway to permanent residency in Germany by their late 20s.
