How Jet Set Jobs Sends Nurses to Germany and Austria — The Complete Process
By Jet Set Jobs | Blog #62 | 8–10 min read
🎯 From your first conversation with us to your first shift in Germany or Austria — this is the
complete, honest account of exactly what Jet Set Jobs does, how the process works, and what you can expect at
every stage of your journey.
Most nurses who find Jet Set Jobs have already spent weeks researching the Germany nursing process online. They
have read about B2 certificates, Berufsanerkennung, §16d visas, and apostilles. What they often cannot find is a
clear, honest answer to the most practical question of all: if I enrol with Jet Set Jobs, what actually happens
next?
This blog answers that question completely. Here is exactly how we work — from the moment you first contact us to
the day you land in Germany or Austria.
Who We Are
Jet Set Jobs (Sachdeva Academy Private Limited) is a Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) licensed overseas
recruitment and German language training organisation based in South Patel Nagar, New Delhi. We specialise
exclusively in placing GNM and BSc Nursing graduates from India in hospitals and care homes in Germany and
Austria.
We have 8 certified German language trainers, 11 active training batches, and a physical classroom you can visit
before enrolling. 583+ candidates have started their Germany journey with us. Our business model is built on one
principle: we earn only when you are placed — so every decision we make is aligned with getting you to Germany.
The Two Countries We Place In
| Country |
Facility Types |
Placement Volume |
Salary Range |
| 🇩🇪 Germany |
Hospitals (Krankenhäuser) and care homes (Pflegeheime) across all 16 states |
Most placements |
€2,800–€3,000 during recognition. €3,300–€3,500 post-recognition. |
| 🇦🇹 Austria |
Hospitals (LKH and private), care homes and senior living facilities |
Growing pipeline — particularly through Calmaroí GmbH and other partners |
Comparable salary — lower tax + 14-month salary structure means higher annual take-home |
Both countries are excellent placements. Germany offers more volume and a larger Indian community. Austria offers
higher net take-home due to lower taxes and the 14-month salary structure (Urlaubsgeld + Weihnachtsgeld). We
discuss the best fit for each candidate individually.
Everything begins with a free, no-obligation consultation call — 20–30 minutes with our counselling team (Mohit
Khatri or Shivam Singh). We cover:
- Your qualification — GNM or BSc Nursing, which college, which year
- Your State Nursing Council registration status — valid, expired, or pending renewal
- Your clinical experience — departments, years, any specialisation
- Your current situation — working, between jobs, recently graduated
- Your Germany / Austria preference, timeline, and family situation
- Any prior German language exposure
We will tell you honestly whether you are eligible, what your realistic timeline looks like, and what the first
concrete step is. No pressure, no commitment.
If you choose to enrol, you pay the first instalment of the refundable security deposit — ₹25,000 (one of three
equal instalments totalling ₹75,000, fully refundable on placement) — and join the next available batch.
What training looks like
- Monday to Friday, 3 hours daily — South Patel Nagar classroom (online option also available)
- 8 certified German language trainers — you are assigned a primary trainer for your batch
- Structured curriculum: A1 (Weeks 1–12), A2 (Weeks 13–24), B1 (Weeks 25–36), B2 (Weeks 37–48)
- Nursing vocabulary integrated from A2 onwards — patient scenarios, clinical terms, documentation language
- Native German trainer sessions at B1 and B2 — spoken fluency, Übergabe practice, clinical conversation
- TELC B2 mock tests from Month 11 — weekly timed practice in full TELC format
- Edmingle LMS — all content, recordings, PDFs, and quizzes accessible 24/7
- Weekly MIS tracking — attendance, test scores, trainer feedback — shared with you and your family if
requested
We begin guiding your document preparation from B1 level — not after B2. Document collection, apostille, and
certified German translation takes 2–4 months, and starting late is the most common cause of unnecessary delays.
- We provide you with a complete, state-specific document checklist
- We explain the MEA apostille process and connect you with authorised apostille agents
- We connect you with certified German translators recognised by German state authorities
- We review your complete document file before submission to ensure nothing is missing
- Documents required: degree certificate + transcripts (apostilled + translated), SNC registration (apostilled
+ translated), experience letters, passport, B2 certificate
After your B2 exam is passed, your placement process begins:
- We prepare your candidate profile — qualification summary, clinical experience, B2 certificate, professional
profile sheet in German employer format
- We match your profile to suitable employer partners in Germany and Austria — including Calmaroí GmbH, Marko
Grohmann's network, and Stefan Winter's Saxony hospital network
- Your profile is shared with the employer for review
- The employer interview is scheduled — video call in German, 30–60 minutes. We brief you fully beforehand.
- If the employer makes an offer, they issue an employment contract
Simultaneously with the employer process, we guide you through the Berufsanerkennung application to the
relevant German state authority:
- We identify the correct competent authority based on your employer's German state
- We help you compile and submit the complete application file
- The authority assesses your qualification — typically 3–6 months
- Most Indian nurses receive partial recognition and are assigned an Anpassungslehrgang
(adaptation period of 6–12 months in Germany — you work and earn throughout). Some receive full direct
recognition. In rare cases, a Kenntnisprüfung (knowledge examination) may be required
instead.
- We guide you through whichever outcome applies
With your employment contract and recognition application confirmed, you apply for the §16d Recognition
Visa at the German Embassy in New Delhi:
- We guide you through the complete Embassy document file
- You book your Embassy appointment — we advise on the correct category and timing
- Processing time: 4–8 weeks after submission
- We remain available to support any Embassy queries during processing
Once your visa is approved, we help you prepare for departure:
- Pre-departure briefing — what to expect in the first two weeks, how Anmeldung works, how to open a bank
account, what to pack
- Accommodation confirmation — we verify your employer has provided accommodation details or guide you to find
WG housing
- Travel booking guidance — flight suggestions, what to carry in hand luggage (all original certificates)
- Emergency contacts in Germany — our support does not end when you board the flight
You land in Germany or Austria. Your new life begins.
- You complete Anmeldung (registration) within 14 days
- You open a bank account (we recommend N26 — can be done before travel)
- You begin your first shift — and your Anpassungslehrgang or direct employment period
- Once we receive our placement fee from the employer — your ₹75,000 refundable security deposit is
returned to you in full
💡 Your ₹75,000 deposit comes back to you. It is held only as a commitment security —
not our revenue. The moment the placement is confirmed and our employer fee is received, we return every rupee.
