It happens regularly. A nurse in Delhi starts German classes with genuine motivation. She reaches B1 — the intermediate level — after six to eight months of consistent study. There are two B2 certificates accepted by German hospitals and embassies: the TELC Deutsch B2 and the Goethe-Institut Zertifikat B2. Both are valid.
