How to Identify a Genuine Ausbildung Consultancy in India - and Avoid Fraud

Indian family using a checklist to verify an Ausbildung Germany consultancy before registering

📌 What You'll Learn

India's Germany Ausbildung market has grown fast - and not all of it is legitimate. This blog gives you a specific, practical framework for evaluating any Ausbildung consultancy before you hand over money. Red flags, green flags, verification steps, and the five questions you must ask before registering with anyone.

Why This Blog Needs to Exist

Five years ago, almost no one in India had heard of Ausbildung. Today, dozens of consultancies are advertising Germany vocational training programmes across Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp. The word "Ausbildung" has become a marketing term in India - and like any fast-growing market with high financial stakes and information asymmetry, it has attracted fraudulent operators alongside legitimate ones.

Indian families have lost lakhs of rupees to consultancies that promised Germany Ausbildung programmes, collected fees, provided fake or unregistered employer offer letters, and either disappeared or left candidates stranded - with no visa, no employer, and no recourse. These are documented cases. They are not hypothetical.

This blog does not exist to market JSJ. It exists because the question of how to verify any Ausbildung consultancy - JSJ included - is one that every family deserves to have answered with specific, practical criteria. Use this framework for every consultancy you evaluate.

🚩 The Red Flags - Stop and Reconsider

🚩 No named German employer partner

Legitimate Ausbildung requires a real, registered German employer. If a consultancy cannot name their German partner or the name does not appear on the IHK employer register, the programme has no foundation. Ask for the full name and verify on unternehmensregister.de.

🚩 Promises visa approval before B2 certification

Germany's Ausbildung visa requires a certified B2 certificate from TELC or Goethe-Institut. Any consultancy claiming they can get your visa before B2 is either misinformed or deliberately misleading. Ask specifically: "Do you process visas before B2 is certified?" The answer must be no.

🚩 "Germany in 3–4 months"

A1 to B2 language training takes 10–12 months for genuine proficiency. Any consultancy advertising Germany departure in 3 or 4 months is either skipping language training or fabricating certificates. Ask for the specific language training timeline - anything under 8 months should be challenged strongly.

🚩 Internal certificate instead of TELC / Goethe-Institut

The German embassy requires a B2 certificate from TELC or Goethe-Institut only. A consultancy's "partner institute certificate" or "internal exam" is not accepted. Ask: "Which exam body issues the B2?" The answer must be TELC or Goethe-Institut.

🚩 "Guaranteed visa approval"

No consultancy in India can guarantee a German visa. Visa decisions are made by the German embassy - a third-party government institution. Any guarantee of visa approval is legally meaningless and ethically deceptive. Walk away from any consultancy that uses the word "guaranteed" in relation to visa approval.

🚩 No verifiable Indian company registration or GST number

A legitimate Indian education consultancy should have a verifiable MCA registration (CIN) and GST number. Request the company's CIN and GST number. Verify on mca.gov.in and the GST portal.

🚩 Fee only after visa with no language training included

If a consultancy charges nothing upfront and collects only after visa approval, ask what they are actually providing. If the answer does not include structured A1–B2 language training, they are not running an Ausbildung programme - they are an unqualified intermediary. Ask for a detailed breakdown of services provided before visa approval.

✅ The Green Flags - What a Legitimate Programme Looks Like

✅ Named, verifiable German partner

A specific named German company or organisation - not just "German employer network" - that can be searched and verified on IHK or sector chamber registers.

✅ Structured A1–B2 language training included in fee

The programme fee covers the language journey from A1 to B2. Training is through a proper platform with qualified trainers, regular classes, and internal assessments. B2 exam is with TELC or Goethe-Institut only.

✅ Instalment-based fee structure aligned to milestones

Legitimate programmes structure payment around programme milestones - not one large lump sum upfront. Each instalment is triggered by a verifiable event (registration, Conditional Offer Letter, language milestone).

✅ Verifiable Indian company registration

The consultancy is a registered legal entity in India with a traceable CIN, GST number, and physical office address.

✅ Conditional Offer Letter from a named, registered German employer

The COL names the specific employer, their address, the training occupation (Ausbildungsberuf), and the proposed start date. It is on the employer's letterhead - not a generic template.

✅ Transparent, written fee and refund policy

All fees are stated clearly in a written agreement. The refund policy - whatever it is - is documented before money changes hands.

✅ Pre-departure orientation is part of the programme

Legitimate programmes prepare candidates for arrival in Germany - Anmeldung, health insurance, bank account, first-day employer process. This indicates the consultancy is thinking about your child's success in Germany, not just their departure.

The 5 Questions to Ask Any Consultancy Before Registering

Take these questions to every consultation call. The answers will tell you everything you need to know:

  1. Who is your German partner and what is their IHK or sector chamber registration number? A real partner can be named and verified. Vagueness here is a significant red flag.
  2. What language training do you provide, and which exam body issues the B2 certificate? The answer must be structured A1–B2 training, TELC or Goethe-Institut only.
  3. What is your Indian company registration number (CIN) and GST number? Any legitimate Indian business can answer this immediately.
  4. Can I see a sample Conditional Offer Letter from a previous candidate? A genuine COL is on employer letterhead, names the employer, the occupation, and is signed. Ask to see one - with candidate name redacted if needed.
  5. What happens if the visa is rejected? The honest answer is that fees are non-refundable, and the consultancy will explain what they do to prevent rejection. Any consultancy that says "don't worry, it won't happen" without explaining their process is not being transparent.

📌 About JSJ Specifically

Jet Set Jobs operates as Sachdeva Academy Private Limited - a company registered with MCA India, with a verifiable CIN and GST number. The German partner is Destination Germany GmbH, based in Freiburg im Breisgau, with MD Chandrasen Rajashekar - a named, traceable, registered German company. Conditional Offer Letters are on Destination Germany letterhead, name the specific employer, the Ausbildungsberuf, and the city. The B2 requirement is TELC or Goethe-Institut only. The fee structure is milestone-based and documented. None of these claims require trust - they can all be verified. Apply the same framework to JSJ that you would apply to any other consultancy.

What to Do If You Have Already Paid a Suspicious Consultancy

If you have paid a fee to a consultancy that is now displaying red flags - no traceable German employer, no real language training, unresponsive to direct questions - take these steps immediately:

  • Document everything: save all WhatsApp messages, emails, receipts, and any documents received
  • Contact the consultancy formally in writing and request a written explanation of programme status, employer name, and IHK registration of that employer
  • File a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or a consumer court if the consultancy is unresponsive or has clearly misrepresented the programme
  • Contact the German embassy in New Delhi if you have been given a potentially fraudulent employer document - they can confirm whether a named employer is IHK-registered

Prevention is easier than resolution. This verification framework costs nothing and takes 30 minutes. Apply it before you register with anyone.
